Proposal for Motion Stabilized Platform to equip Doppler Lidar for Offshore Wind Observations and its Control Method

It is necessary to obtain actual wind state at the sea area where offshore farm will be constructed realize its profitability and safety. Our research group has been investigating methods reduce motion of floating platform caused by wave, wind, current for observations Doppler Lidar, proposed a spar-buoy with ring-fin stabilizer. However, not small, therefore it requires high installation cost. As another method, in this study, controlled rigid body swing as stabilized place on structure investigated numerically. First, single pendulum type plat form tension-moored proposed, mechanism clarified. Based results, counter-weight which an improvement type, effectiveness reducing confirmed. Furthermore, adjusted so that no restoring moment, further reduction confirmed using skyhook spring. Finally, effects are also sufficient when mounted discus-type platform.
